Eric BRENDLE initiated his research in Inverse Gas Chromatography during his Ph.D. thesis in 1993 under the guidance of Professor Eugène Papirer and Henri Balard. The thesis focused on characterizing the surface properties of mineral oxides after various treatments. In 1997, he conducted his first technology transfer project by introducing Inverse Liquid Chromatography at Rhodia to investigate anti-soiling treatments on textiles. The interest of companies such as Wacker and Rhodia in the
knowledge of the surface characterization, brings him the idea to create a company after his post-doc with the support of Prof. Eugene Papirer, Prof. H. Balard and Prof. Jean-Baptiste Donnet. Adscientis was established in 2000 to offer IGC and ILC analytical services to industrial clients across diverse sectors (pharma, cosmetics, catalysts and support, fillers, composites, etc.).
Since 2018, Neuron IC, a proprietary IGC solution, has been developed to conduct various IGC measurements, which is also available to customers interested in performing IGC analyses independently.
